Asian Games Through the “Victory Project” Sports Nutrition Program

Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd., a global leader in nutrition-based food innovation, is contributing to the well-being of people around the world through food and its unique “AminoScience” expertise. Building on its strong partnership with the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) since the SEA Games in 2025, the Thailand Victory Project has continued to support Thai athletes as they prepare for the 2026 Asian Games, promoting both physical readiness through sports nutrition and mental well-being through delicious food, care, and positive experiences. Bringing the “Eat Well, Live Well” commitment to life through food, Ajinomoto will serve 700 Power Balls featuring familiar local Thai flavors at Thai House and provide aminoVITAL and Birdy 3 in 1 to support Team Thailand athletes throughout the competition.
Strengthening Athletes’ Performance Through Partnership
Mr. Suwat Luangtrakool, Director of the Sports Science Department, Sports Authority of Thailand, said, “Sports nutrition plays a vital role in athlete performance. It helps ensure that athletes are physically ready for training and competition, while also supporting recovery and maintaining their physical condition. Through our continued collaboration, the SAT has developed strong trust in Ajinomoto’s sports nutrition expertise and its understanding of athletes’ nutritional needs. By combining the SAT’s experience in athlete development with Ajinomoto’s expertise in nutrition, we are able to provide more targeted, comprehensive, and sustainable nutrition support for Thai athletes, with the goal of strengthening their readiness and supporting them in pursuing success on the international stage.”
From Japan to Thailand: Building Victory Through Nutrition
Mr. Ichiro Sakakura, General Manager, Food Products Division, Ajinomoto Co., Inc. Japan said, “As a global company, Ajinomoto believes that food should bring enjoyment while supporting better health and well-being through our ‘AminoScience’ expertise. This belief led to the launch of the Victory Project in Japan in 2003, recognizing the importance of proper nutrition in supporting athletes’ daily condition, recovery, and preparation. Since 2018, the Victory Project has expanded across ASEAN and Latin America, including to Thailand, adapting our expertise to the needs of local athletes.”
“Today, the project continues to support athletes across different sports and competitions through nutrition tailored to their needs, contributing to their preparation, recovery, and overall well-being. Beyond medals, we aim to help athletes become stronger, healthier, and better prepared to pursue their goals, bringing ‘Eat Well, Live Well’ to life through sports nutrition.”
Ms. Jidapa Srichavana, Professional Nutritionist, Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd., said, “For the 2026 Asian Games, support will span both preparation and competition, from more than 3,000 Winning Meals at the Ajinomoto Victory Canteen (July–September), followed by Power Balls featuring familiar Thai flavours such as Tom Yam, Pad Krapow, Palo, green curry, and Larb, made with RosDee Menu products and served at Thai House throughout the competition, alongside more than 100,000 sachets of aminoVITAL and Birdy 3 in 1 provided to the SAT and sports associations.”
“For the booth’s opening day, we prepared special Winning Meals under the theme ‘Taste of Home, Power to Win’ for athletes visiting Thai House. Presented as a Thai × Nagoya fusion, these special dishes combine familiar Thai flavors with Nagoya’s signature ingredient, miso, traditionally made from fermented soybeans, which is rich in protein and umami. When enjoyed in moderation, it can be part of a balanced diet. We believe that familiar flavors from home not only allow athletes to enjoy their meals but also provide a sense of warmth, relaxation, and comfort while competing abroad. This reflects the concept of ‘Taste of Home, Power to Win,’ highlighting how the power of food can support athletes’ physical and mental readiness.”
“Currently, through our collaboration with the SAT, the Victory Project supports athletes through sports nutrition education, Winning Meals, and products such as aminoVITAL, providing comprehensive nutritional support throughout their journey – from training and preparation to competition and post-competition recovery. This continues our approach of supporting both physical readiness through nutrition and mental well-being through care, encouragement, and positive experiences,” added Ms. Jidapa.
“The Victory Project demonstrates how proper and balanced nutrition can contribute to athletes’ well-being, both physically and mentally. This reflects Ajinomoto Group’s long-standing commitment to creating a society where people can ‘Eat Well, Live Well’ through the power of nutrition and our expertise in ‘AminoScience,’” concluded Mr. Sakakura.
