NDC Class 68 Tiger Group, SCGC and the Department of National Parks Launch “Restoring Mountains, Sustaining Waters” Initiative to Revive Khao Yai Da Watershed and Advance Nature Positive Outcomes in Rayong - มิติหุ้น | ชี้ชัดทุกการลงทุน

Mitihoon – The National Defence College (NDC) Class 68 Tiger Group, together with SCGC, the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, and partners from the public and private sectors, educational institutions, the military, and local communities, announced their collaboration on the “Restoring Mountains, Sustaining Waters” initiative with the Khao Yai Da community in Rayong Province. The initiative aims to restore forest and watershed ecosystems while delivering long-term Nature Positive outcomes through collaborative conservation efforts.

Implemented from February to June 2026, the project resulted in the construction of 68 check dams and the planting of more than 1,000 trees, made possible by the collective efforts of over 600 volunteers from all sectors. These activities have enhanced forest health, strengthened water security, reduced soil erosion, and restored biodiversity. Responsibility for the restored watershed has also been handed over to the local community to ensure the long-term conservation and sustainable management of the area.

As part of the initiative, the NDC Class 68 Tiger Group also provided six stingless bee colonies to the Khao Yai Da community to promote stingless beekeeping as a supplementary livelihood. Stingless bees produce honey that can be processed into a variety of value-added products. At the same time, they play a vital ecological role as pollinators, helping increase agricultural productivity, maintain ecosystem balance, and generate sustainable income for local communities.
